Storm Dance & Silver Tide - A Collection of River Poems has just been released by Rose Frankcombe. The poems feature aspects of the Tamar River, flowing by Launceston in Tasmania. This book begins with a soupçon of the river's history, followed by the capturing of the variety of river moods, aspects of bird life and general sights one can expect to see along this beautiful waterway. The publication also includes a variety of photographs of the various locations mentioned within the text. An auxiliary selection of photographs is also available in A4 or A3 reproductions for $6.00 and $12.00 each respectively. The photographs, in either B&W or Colour, include the Lowhead Lighthouse, two magnificent black swans at the waters edge, an intriguing picture of a window at the Auld Sidmouth Kirk, a wide panorama of the book cover (seen above), which was taken from the estuary near Kelso in Tasmania, and various aspects of the river itself. The book is available from the author for $A12.00 per copy (postage and handling included within Australia). For further details contact the author:
